Soccer - we are a soccer family

And why not? Kids love to run and kick things. It's all very clear to me now why soccer is so popular with the little set. L is just into running...sometimes he kicks the ball, and he follows directions real well. When the coach tells him to stand in a spot, he does...and stays in that same spot while the rest of the kids run past him. Enjoy the photos.

L's best buddy is on the opposing team.

Pre-game stretch...

Strategizing....okay, L...see the ball....

Yeah, coach...I see it. Now what?

Hey, bro! Kick it...like this!

Now, don't make me come back out there...a cheerleader gave me candy.

That's alright..I'll just hang with the guys.

Swimming with dolphins

Our first full day at the beach, we drove from Ft. Walton over to Panama City Beach to spend the morning on a pontoon boat. Our host, Mr. G. we find out is quite the fish himself, and showed us a great time swimming with dolphins, swimming in the shallows of the bay, and digging for sand dollars. It's a day we will never forget.

A (Mr. G's grandson), L and R at the front of the boat

Mr. G and A

L floating with Mr. G and dolphin. R looking on.

R playing with dolphin. After seeing the dolphin several times, we noticed a mark on his dorsal fin, so this dolphin was apparently in captivity at one time.

We thought he was just shading his eyes from the sun, until we hit a wave and he fell down. Poor baby fell asleep like this.

L lost his first tooth!

Okay, so about 3 weeks ago, the boys were playing around and L had Blue Baby in his mouth, and R pulled on it quite hard. L's lower middle tooth was fairly lose after that incident. Can't do anything about that. L adapted and learned to chew on one side of his mouth avoiding biting into anything with the front teeth. This morning, on the way to gym, (where else do we go?) the boys were having a snack and L blurts out..."mommy it came out."

What came out?

My tooth?

Really?

Yeah, here. (what am I going to do with a baby tooth while I'm driving down the road?)

You hold onto it real tight, babe, and we'll put it somewhere when we get to the gym.

Now, L is in great despair, "IT'S BLEEDING!!!"

The tooth? - wait, no it must be the hole. So I grab a towel and hand it to him to bit down on. At this point, he's begging me to go back home and then says he wants to stay in the car. Poor child just lost a part of his body and doesn't want anyone to see.

So we get to gym and I get out of the car to assess the situation. And what do I find, a big boy tooth right behind the hole. Well, I made such a big deal of out the new tooth that L was quite proud of himself. He told me he can eat normally now. Very exciting stuff. And really, this explains why he's been so cranky for the past week! We'll have to remember this next time a tooth is loose.

Updates....

I really do have things to write about, but I've been very busy trying to finish up with BodyPump training and now learning the new release....we went to Chattanooga and had a great time up there - I dropped my camera at the aquarium so there are no pictures of the next day with us at Rock City. The boys were simply amazed, but I couldn't justify $17 for a disposable camera purchase at Rock City. I think that's how much it was....maybe not. So, I'll post pictures soon of our trip up there.

Then we went to the beach...Ft. Walton - Levi and Rylan got to swim with a dolphin...I hope the pictures came out with our disposal water proof camera. And then Levi starts school on the 12th and between both kids I spent $60 on school supplies. Crazy.

So as I'm typing this, I hear Levi spelling out Rylan's name with wooden letters. "Wywan, say R, very good. Say L, great, now say A..." etc. Way too cute.
