Summer Project

I could have spent $8 on a plastic nap mat from Wal-Mart, but I would not have been able to frivolously spend $45 to create something so durn cute!

Tree Top Adventures

Just a little fun at Tree Top Adventures in Chelsea, AL today. Go-karts, mini golf, major water balloon-age, laser tag (I see how this could be serious fun with the right group), and arcade games. Was not busy at all, and a great clean place. We'll go back.

In about 8-9 years, this picture will become reality on real roads.....

It's all in the technique....or is it?

YES!!!  It IS all in the technique!  Yay!!!

Water Balloon battle

Huh?  You gotta be kidding me!

But I think I can....

Hi Rylan!

No Screen Time...

The boys were in time out tonight for using the word "idiot" toward each other.  Unfortunately, it's a word that was picked up on "child friendly" movies and TV shows.  So in addition to time out, I had to enforce a no screen time punishment:  no TV, no Wii, no Nintendo DS, no I-pod, no I-pad, no phone, no computer.

Whatever happened to screen time = TV?  We have too many gadgets in our house.

Hi. We went to the beach!

A great shot of a palm tree on the way to the beach!

My three guys.
Silliness.  They were terribly excited about crab hunting, but the crabs never came out.  Yes, did wait until it got dark.

Rylan's foot on the left; Levi's foot on the right.  They just stepped this way.  Neat, huh?

Some of my best pix came out blurry.  Still getting used to the new camera.

The pool area at the condo.  Lots of fun stuff.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this photo. Brothers having fun, laughing and getting along.  LOVE it!

Levi's favorite place - the laaaaaaaazy river.

Rylan was being cool, then he slipped out!  HA!

The two seconds he sat still the whole weekend.

New Boat!  Waves were kind of rough, and we hadn't bought the ores yet.

They call it it Emerald Coast, but this year, it was the slimey, algae infested Emerald Coast.  The water is usually not that green and one can usually see through it.  Thanks BP!

When does the drama end?

Apparently the high school drama continues throughout life, despite the efforts I put in to get away from it.  I thought I had found a fun job when I decided nearly 3 years ago to become a Group Fitness Instructor.  I could teach classes during the day while the kids are in school, and be available to them before and after school - shuffling them to all the places they need to be.  Earning a little extra income doing something that I love (or used to) was just too perfect.  I had great mentors who took the time to ensure that I was going to succeed and offered the very difficult, but accurate constructive criticism that one needs to be great!  And then those individuals left. Or were fired.

And now, we are stuck with high school drama.  The new lead person is not a leader.  She hires her friends to help her out.  The drama has escalated and the job I jumped out of bed for and got butterfly's driving to is now the last thing on earth I want to do.  But I don't want to quit.  I want to write a letter to the powers that be, but I'm afraid they will fall on death ears.  What I really want is equality for all instructors.  Instead of 26 instructors teaching 37 classes when there are a total of 40 instructors to choose from.....why do some instructors not have classes at all?  That's it...I'm going to write my letter.
